Let's start with the good stuff. The Xerox C235DNI is a compact, wireless all-in-one printer that promises to handle printing, scanning, copying, and faxing with speeds up to 24 pages per minute. For home offices or small teams, its space-saving design is a definite plus.
The setup was surprisingly painless - no IT degree required here. The built-in Wi-Fi worked seamlessly with my Apple devices, and I was printing within minutes of unboxing. The print quality? Crisp and vibrant, especially for color documents. Automatic two-sided printing is a lifesaver for saving paper.
Now for the not-so-great parts. Like many reviewers mentioned, the starter toner cartridges are practically empty from day one. I barely printed 100 pages before getting low-ink warnings - ridiculous for a $400+ machine. Replacement toners cost more than some printers!
The scanner quality is... disappointing at best. Documents come out faded unless you max out the darkness settings, and even then there's weird white patches. Trying to install the software without a CD drive was an exercise in frustration - the 'SmartStart' driver refused to recognize my perfectly visible printer.
Paper jams became frequent after just six months of light use (about 10-20 pages daily). Customer service? Nonexistent. Multiple requests for help went unanswered - not what you'd expect from an established brand like Xerox.
Would I recommend it? If you need occasional color printing in a small space and don't mind expensive consumables, maybe. But if scanning or reliability are priorities, keep looking. This printer feels like it's built to sell toner rather than last.
