As someone who's tested dozens of watercolor sets, the SUPER VISION layered paints immediately caught my eye. The concept of three colors in one tube promises exciting blending possibilities - but does it deliver?
The Good: When these paints work, they're magical. The rewetting ability is exceptional - even dried paint on my palette reactivates with just a spritz of water. I created stunning sunset skies with the orange-red-yellow tube where the colors naturally separated into gorgeous gradients.
The packaging deserves praise too. Those ancient Chinese eave designs aren't just pretty - the raised patterns give excellent grip when squeezing tubes. The 15ml size is perfect for serious artists without being wasteful.
The Not-So-Good: Consistency varies wildly between colors. While some tubes blend beautifully, others (especially the greens) mixed into muddy messes. The promised granulation effect is barely noticeable in most shades.
Verdict: This set shines for experimental artists willing to embrace unpredictability. The vibrant pigments and unique layering potential make it worth trying, though beginners might prefer more reliable single-pigment paints.
