Let me start by saying this little pump is a lifesaver when it comes to winterizing my RV. The first time I used it to pump antifreeze into my black tank, I was amazed at how quick and mess-free the process became compared to my old pour-and-pray method.
The kit comes with everything you need - the red hand pump feels sturdy, the transparent hoses let you see the antifreeze flow (super satisfying!), and those three clamps actually work to prevent leaks. I especially appreciate that you can trim the hoses if they're too long for your setup.
Now for the not-so-great part: that brass fitting. Like several other reviewers mentioned, mine didn't thread properly into my RV's inlet either. It bottomed out before sealing tight, causing a frustrating leak. I ended up using Teflon tape and really cranking it down, which worked temporarily, but I'll probably replace it with a plastic fitting like others suggested.
Despite this issue, I'm keeping mine because: 1) It still works great for transferring fluids between containers (used it to winterize my jet ski too!), and 2) At this price point, even if you need to buy an additional fitting, it's still cheaper than many competitors.
Pro tip: If your RV has a plastic inlet thread, go slow when attaching the brass fitting or consider getting a plastic replacement to avoid stripping. And definitely use those included clamps - they make all the difference in preventing messy leaks!
