Let's start with the good stuff. The OXS Storm G2 delivers surprisingly crisp audio for its price range. The 50mm drivers pump out rich bass that doesn't muddy the mids, and the 7.1 virtual surround actually works - I could pinpoint enemy footsteps in Valorant with scary accuracy. The RGB lighting is a nice touch that doesn't feel tacky.
The comfort level is above average. The protein leather ear cups are soft, though after 4-hour gaming sessions, my ears did get slightly warm. The headband adjustment is smooth, and it's lightweight enough that I forgot I was wearing them during intense matches.
Now for the not-so-great: The charging situation is baffling. Like many reviewers noted, you can't use these while charging - a major oversight for a "gaming" headset at this price point. Also, while the mic quality is decent for Discord chats, it does pick up background noise more than I'd like despite the ENC tech.
The Bluetooth 5.3 connection is rock solid (I used it with my phone during commutes), but the 2.4GHz dongle is where this headset truly shines for gaming. Latency was nonexistent in my FPS tests.
Final verdict? If you need a versatile wireless headset that performs well across devices and don't mind taking charging breaks, the Storm G2 offers great value. But competitive gamers who marathon sessions might want to look at options with simultaneous charge/play functionality.
