After getting the Honeywell Home T6 Pro Smart Thermostat installed by my HVAC company, I've had a chance to put it through its paces. Here's my honest take on this device.
The good stuff first - this thermostat is incredibly easy to program and adjust. The interface is straightforward, and making temperature changes is a breeze. I particularly love the override feature that lets you set a temporary temperature that automatically reverts at your chosen time. This is perfect for those days when you're home sick or have unexpected schedule changes.
However, there are some quirks that bug me. The four preset periods (Wake, Away, Home, Sleep) feel oddly named - Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night would make more sense. More frustrating is the shared schedule for heating and cooling - you can't set different times for each system, which limits flexibility.
The WiFi connectivity has been rock solid for me, contrary to some online complaints. My HVAC company assured me this model rarely has reconnection issues after power outages, and so far that's held true.
While not perfect, the T6 Pro offers reliable performance at a reasonable price point. If you can live with its scheduling limitations (and don't mind the odd period names), it's a solid smart thermostat choice.
