Let me start by saying the Thunderobot G45 Pro looks and feels premium right out of the box. The textured grips and RGB lighting give it that 'next-gen' vibe, and the Hall Effect sticks are buttery smooth - no drift issues even after weeks of intense gaming sessions.
Where this controller truly shines is its versatility. I've used it wired for competitive FPS on PC, wirelessly via Bluetooth for casual Switch gaming, and even paired it with my Android phone for some mobile gaming. The gyro controls work surprisingly well for aiming in shooters once you get used to them.
However... there are some quirks. Like several reviewers mentioned, I've experienced occasional connection drops where inputs would freeze momentarily. The workaround (power cycling the controller) works, but it's annoying mid-game. The dongle is also comically large compared to competitors' offerings.
The Hall Effect triggers are a game-changer for racing games - the progressive resistance feels amazing when accelerating or braking in Forza Horizon. But the face buttons? They're membrane, not mechanical, which explains why they feel slightly mushy compared to an Xbox Elite controller.
Battery life is decent (about 8-10 hours with RGB on), though I wish it had passthrough charging like some premium controllers. The lack of audio jack is also puzzling in 2024.
At its current price point (~$50), this is a solid option if you need cross-platform compatibility and want future-proof Hall Effect components. Just don't expect flawless performance - occasional quirks come with the territory at this price range.
