Let me start by saying this POE Access Point is a looker! The ultra-thin flying saucer design (just 22.3mm thick) blends so seamlessly into my ceiling that guests often don't even notice it's there. The minimalist aesthetic works great in both my home office and living room.
The WiFi 6 performance is where this AP really shines. I consistently get speeds close to my full 800Mbps internet connection - a huge upgrade from my old router. The dual-band setup (574Mbps on 2.4GHz and 2400Mbps on 5GHz) handles everything from video calls to 4K streaming without breaking a sweat.
Installation was... interesting. As someone with basic networking knowledge, I definitely struggled with the setup process. The documentation is sparse, and the web interface isn't exactly user-friendly. My tech-savvy friend had to bail me out - this is NOT a plug-and-play device for casual users.
The POE power option is brilliant for clean installations (no messy power cables), but be warned: you'll need your own POE switch or injector as none is included. I used a spare injector from work, but home users might find this an unexpected additional cost.
Range is decent but not amazing - about what I'd expect for the price point. In my 1,500 sq ft home, coverage is solid everywhere except the far corners of the backyard. The five high-gain antennas do their job well indoors though.
One major limitation: it doesn't play nice with mesh networks from other brands. If you're looking to create a seamless roaming network, you'll need multiple units of this exact model.
Bottom line: This AP delivers excellent WiFi 6 performance at a reasonable price, but it's best suited for tech enthusiasts or small businesses rather than average home users who want simple setup and operation.
