Living in a rural area with terrible Verizon service for years, this signal booster has been a game-changer. After struggling with satellite phone bills, we now get 3-4 bars on our iPhones. The coverage isn't the full 4,500 sq ft advertised (we get about 800 sq ft), but it's enough for our den where we spend most of our time.
The installation was tricky - I temporarily placed the outside antenna on a tree before properly mounting it on the roof. The included app helped find the cell tower direction, though interestingly, the antenna works fine pointing either way. The signal strength improved significantly after proper installation (20ft high, 35ft from indoor antenna).
While researching alternatives, I found similar performance from boosters twice the price. This one delivers exactly what we needed: reliable calls without disruptions (had a 30-minute call with relatives 300 miles away!) and enough signal for basic internet use.
The coverage area might disappoint some - in my campground setup, I lose signal when leaving the room with the indoor antenna. But considering satellite internet installation costs more than this entire unit, it's still a great value.
For anyone considering this: check your carrier's bands first! The booster works best with Verizon (bands 5,12,13,17) and moderately improves AT&T service too. After replacing our outdated 3G booster, we finally have usable 4G/5G signals throughout our property.
