First off, let me tell you - this little glass dish has been a lifesaver for my shrimp tank. The transparency is perfect for monitoring food levels, and the 60mm size is just right for my neocaridina shrimp. No more guessing games about whether I've overfed!
The suction cup initially held strong (unlike some reviews mentioned), keeping the dish securely on the tank wall. I loved how it prevented food from scattering everywhere - goodbye to those annoying ammonia spikes! My water parameters have never been better.
However, after about a month of use, I did notice the suction starting to weaken. While it hasn't failed completely yet, I can see why some users reported issues. The glass is surprisingly heavy for its size, which might explain the suction problems.
Cleaning is a breeze though - just a quick rinse and it's good as new. And when positioned correctly, it does an excellent job containing all the food in one spot (contrary to that one review about food moving to one edge).
Would I recommend it? Absolutely - but with caveats. If you're patient and can find cheaper alternatives with similar quality, go for those. But if you need something reliable quickly and don't mind paying a bit extra, this feeder dish gets the job done beautifully... at least until the suction gives out.
