I recently got my hands on the Non-Toxic Artist Pastels set, and I must say, it's been a delightful experience. The colors are vibrant and blend beautifully, making it perfect for both beginners and seasoned artists.

The texture of these pastels is soft yet firm enough to allow precise application. I particularly loved how easy they are to layer and blend, whether using fingers or a cloth. The square shape gives better control compared to traditional round pastels.

One thing to note is that they work best on textured or sanded paper. On smooth surfaces, the pigment doesn't adhere as well. Also, a fixative spray is a must if you want to preserve your artwork without smudging.

While the pastels are non-toxic and safe for kids, they do break easily if mishandled. The size is smaller than expected, but the rich pigmentation makes up for it. Overall, this set offers great value for money and is perfect for art projects, hair coloring (washes out easily!), or even polymer clay detailing.
