Let me start by saying this Tedgetal 12U rack does its job - it holds my networking gear securely and looks professional. The cold-rolled steel construction feels sturdy, and the 133lbs capacity means I don't have to worry about overloading it with my modest home server setup.
The good: The locking front door provides actual security (unlike some flimsier racks I've tried), and the vented design keeps my equipment from overheating. I particularly appreciate the quick-open side panel - makes cable management so much easier when I need to rearrange things.
The not-so-good: Assembly was a nightmare at first. The instructions might as well have been written in hieroglyphics! It took me nearly an hour of trial and error before I found the assembly video online (pro tip: search for it before you start). Once I watched that, things made more sense, but this shouldn't be necessary for a product at this price point.
Real-world use: After finally getting it mounted, it's been rock solid holding my router, switch, NAS, and a couple of Pi's. The depth is perfect for most home equipment (though enterprise gear might be tight). The lack of included shelves is annoying - had to buy those separately.
Verdict: If you're patient with assembly and don't mind some DIY fixes (I had to slightly enlarge some screw holes), this is a decent budget rack. But if you want something that works perfectly out of the box, you might want to spend more on a Startech model.
