Let me start by saying, this incense stick holder is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. The orange color (called 'The Energy') is vibrant and adds a warm, earthy vibe to my meditation space. The 10-inch size is perfect—large enough to catch ashes but not too bulky for my small altar.
The hardwood construction feels sturdy, like it could last decades with proper care. I love that it's handmade in India—you can see the slight imperfections that make each piece unique. It does exactly what it promises: holds incense sticks securely and catches most of the ashes.
However, there are some quirks. Like other reviewers mentioned, the wood arrives quite rough. I had to sand mine down to avoid splinters (pro tip: use fine-grit sandpaper). The hole for the incense stick is a bit tight for some brands—I found myself gently widening it with a knife for thicker sticks.
The biggest issue? Ash collection. Without a deep rut or divot, about 30% of my ashes still end up on the table unless I'm in a completely still room. Not ideal when you're trying to relax during yoga!
For the price (especially getting two in a pack), it's decent value. They make lovely decorative pieces even when not in use. But if you're looking for flawless functionality, you might want to invest in a higher-end model with better ash containment.
