Let me start by saying these purple hanging vines are STUNNING at first glance. I hung them on my balcony railing, and within days, neighbors were stopping to ask if they were real! The UV-resistant fabric truly holds up – after 2 months of brutal summer sun, the color hasn’t faded one bit.
The fullness is impressive – each 23-inch vine has 19 forks dripping with flowers and leaves. When I draped them over my pergola for a garden party, the cascading effect made the space feel like a secret garden. No watering needed, yet butterflies still visit (which is hilarious because they’re clearly being tricked!).
Now for the not-so-great: The ‘adjustable’ flowers are frustrating. No matter how much I twist them, some petals stubbornly curl inward instead of fanning out beautifully. And be warned – several flowers snapped off during installation (though thankfully, the vines are so dense it’s hardly noticeable).
Size disappointment alert! They’re definitely smaller than advertised. I planned to use them as privacy screening between balconies, but the coverage was too sparse. They work much better clustered in hanging baskets where you can layer multiple strands.
Final verdict? Perfect for low-maintenance decor where people won’t inspect them up close (poolside? High shelves?). But if you want museum-quality realism or need precise sizing, keep shopping. At this price point ($25 for 2), I expected fewer compromises.
