Let me start by saying this printer is a game-changer for home offices. The megatank system is revolutionary - I've printed over 500 pages in two months and the ink levels have barely budged. No more panic when the 'low ink' warning appears!
The 2.7" color touchscreen makes navigation surprisingly intuitive. I particularly love how easy it is to scan multi-page documents using the 35-sheet auto feeder - just stack, press, and walk away. The duplex printing works flawlessly for reports and presentations.
Print quality on regular paper is excellent - crisp text and vibrant colors that make my marketing materials pop. However, I did notice the cardstock curling issue others mentioned. Pro tip: print one side at a time and use the standard quality setting for best results.
Setup was mostly painless, though I agree Canon could improve their documentation. The wireless connection worked perfectly with my MacBook after a quick firmware update, but I did need to consult YouTube for some advanced scanning features.
The printer does make some mechanical noises during operation that might surprise you at first, but it's significantly quieter than my old HP during heavy printing sessions.
While photo printing isn't its strongest suit (stick to glossy paper for decent results), as an all-around workhorse printer that saves you hundreds on ink, this Canon delivers where it counts most.
