As someone who spends hours daily in front of screens, I was excited to try the VIEWBETTER Clip-On Blue Light Blocking Glasses. The 3-pack offering with different tint options (clear, light amber, dark amber) seemed like a versatile solution for various lighting conditions.
The dark amber lenses truly shine (pun intended) for computer and TV use. After a full workday, my eyes felt noticeably less strained compared to going without them. They effectively cut the harsh blue glow from screens without distorting colors too drastically. The flip-up mechanism is handy when you need quick clarity without removing your prescription glasses.
Where these glasses excel most surprisingly is nighttime driving! The lighter amber lenses dramatically reduce glare from those blinding LED headlights that have become so common. It's like having a superpower against inconsiderate drivers with improperly adjusted beams.
However, fit issues plague this otherwise promising product. While they clip securely onto my medium-sized frames, the mechanism adds noticeable weight that causes my regular glasses to slide down. The bulky flip-up hardware also creates slight visual obstructions at the top of my field of view - annoying when you're trying to focus on work documents.
The included accessories are a nice touch - the hard case protects them in my bag, and the microfiber cloth keeps smudges at bay. But I wish VIEWBETTER offered more size options as these seem designed for larger frames only.
For $25-$30, you're getting decent value with three lens options, but temper your expectations about comfort during extended wear. They're fantastic for short bursts of screen time or driving, but I wouldn't recommend them as an all-day solution unless you have particularly sturdy prescription frames that can handle the extra weight.
