Let me start by saying this: the SAMSUNG OLED TV is a visual masterpiece. The colors? Absolutely mesmerizing. Whether I'm binge-watching my favorite shows or diving into an intense gaming session, the picture quality is next-level. The Neural Quantum Processor does an impressive job upscaling HD content to near-4K quality - though I did notice some minor overscan issues when connecting my PC.
The HDR OLED performance is where this TV truly shines (literally). Dark scenes in movies reveal incredible detail without crushing blacks, while bright highlights pop beautifully. That said, the built-in app UI feels clunky compared to the buttery-smooth visuals. And yes, low-resolution broadcasts do look noticeably worse on this large, detailed screen - a tradeoff for that stunning OLED clarity.
The PDP Replay Gaming Hub controller is a game-changer (pun intended). Having a dedicated gaming remote that doubles as a TV controller eliminates so much clutter. Though fair warning - setting up the gaming hub requires creating yet another account, which felt unnecessarily frustrating.
Now for the elephant in the room: quality control seems hit-or-miss based on multiple user reports (and my own experience). My first unit arrived with a cracked screen despite pristine packaging. While Samsung's customer service handled replacement swiftly (shoutout to rep Vinni!), others reported more alarming issues like expanding cracks and even melting screens. This makes me hesitant to fully recommend without noting you should inspect your unit thoroughly upon arrival.
When everything works right? This might be the best OLED TV I've owned. The picture quality surpasses anything in its price range, and gaming performance is phenomenal. But potential QC issues mean I'd suggest purchasing from retailers with excellent return policies just in case you need to exchange a defective unit.
