Let me start by saying I've tried my fair share of cashmere socks, and these Cashmeren ones had me intrigued. The promise of 100% pure Mongolian cashmere at an affordable price sounded too good to be true - and after testing them for a month, I've got some thoughts.
The good first: These are genuinely comfortable socks. The ribbed knit gives them a nice stretch that hugs your feet without being restrictive. I wore them both around the house and to bed, and they maintained their shape well. The lightweight nature makes them perfect for transitional seasons when you want just a bit of warmth without overheating.
Now the not-so-good: That tag situation is ridiculous. Who puts a massive scratchy label inside luxury socks? I nearly ruined mine trying to carefully cut it out. Also, while soft, they don't have that buttery-soft feel premium cashmere should have. They're more 'nice wool sock' soft than 'luxury cashmere' soft.
Durability is another concern. After about 15 wears (mostly just around the house), I'm already seeing some pilling on the soles. For the price point, I'd expect better longevity.
Final verdict? These are decent socks if you manage your expectations. They're comfortable and look nice, but don't expect true luxury cashmere quality. If you're looking for budget-friendly cashmere-esque socks, these might work - just be prepared to baby them with hand washing and deal with that awful tag.
