Let me start by saying the YOUSU Galaxy PLA filament bundle is visually stunning. The glittery finishes and glow-in-the-dark option had me excited to test these out on various projects.
The good: When it works, it works beautifully. The glitter gold and chameleon blue produced some of the shiniest prints I've ever created. Layer adhesion was impressive - no warping or delamination issues even on larger prints. The pre-dried filament fed smoothly through my Bambu Lab printer at 205°C with a 0.6mm nozzle.
The not-so-good: This filament demands patience. The glow-in-dark green was brittle straight out of the package and required drying before use. As other reviewers noted, color-shifting filaments in this bundle tend to be particularly finicky - I experienced nozzle clogs until switching to a larger nozzle size.
Pro tip: Don't expect strong glow effects from the 'glow' filament - it's more subtle than expected. And definitely open all spools upon arrival to check for damage (one of mine had a cracked spool).
Best uses: Decorative items where sparkle matters more than precision. I've had great success with vases, decorative bowls, and cosplay accessories where the occasional stringing or color shift adds character rather than being a flaw.
Final verdict: A mixed bag that delivers beautiful results when you nail the settings, but requires more tinkering than standard PLA. Worth it for special projects where you want that extra visual pop.
