Let me start by saying this cabinet is a mixed bag. On one hand, it's incredibly space-saving when folded (just 3.5 inches wide!), and the powder-coated steel gives it a sleek, scratch-resistant finish that looks great in my garage.
The magnetic doors are a game-changer - they snap shut with satisfying force and stay closed. I store my power tools here, and the 240 lbs capacity handles them with ease. The adjustable shelves (removable too!) let me customize space for everything from wrenches to bulky drill cases.
Now for the not-so-great: Assembly was frustrating. The instructions might as well be hieroglyphics - just vague images with no labels. I spent 45 minutes swearing at the first cabinet before figuring out the puzzle-like assembly process. Pro tip: If pieces don't fit, try flipping them!
The mounting system? Let's call it an 'adventure'. The included wall template holes didn't align with my studs at all. I ended up drilling new holes through the back panel into studs for security after watching the cabinet wobble ominously during my initial install.
While lightweight (a plus for solo installation), the metal panels feel thinner than expected. My unit arrived with slight bends, and I've heard others report shipping damage due to this flimsiness. It firms up when loaded though - empty, it rattles like a tin can in wind.
For the price? It's decent if you're handy and patient. But if you want plug-and-play simplicity or industrial sturdiness, you might want to spend extra on premium brands.
