The dual Wi-Fi connectivity (2.4G+5G) is rock solid, and I love controlling everything from my phone via the Smart-Life app.

The installation was... interesting. Like other reviewers mentioned, the wires are ridiculously short. I had to get creative with a 20-foot headphone extension cable for the temperature sensor - not exactly what you'd expect for a $100+ device. The included gasket for the sensor is basically useless too; I had to scavenge one from my old drain plug.

Once set up though? Magic. Being able to turn on my heater while driving home from work so the pool's perfect when I arrive is priceless. The thermostat function works surprisingly well, maintaining water temperature within 1-2 degrees of my set point.

Some quirks drive me nuts though: The scheduling feature needs work - it's all-or-nothing programming with no 'one-time' event option. And why such short wires? My equipment pad isn't in a waterproof box right next to the heater! Also wish there was an option for additional/longer temperature sensors.

The Alexa integration works flawlessly - 'Alexa, set pool to 85 degrees' never gets old. Just be warned: this ONLY works with gas heaters using millivolt valves (no voltage output). Overall? 4/5 stars - fixes some wire length issues and scheduling quirks and it'd be perfect.
