Let me start by saying the Foredge AX3000 is a beast when it comes to coverage. I tested it in my 2,300 sq ft home, and those six antennas really do their job - no more dead zones in my backyard!
The setup was ridiculously easy. Like literally five minutes from unboxing to streaming Netflix in 4K. The web interface is basic (maybe too basic for power users), but perfect for regular folks who just want fast WiFi without a networking degree.
Gaming performance surprised me. With three consoles running simultaneously plus my work laptop on video calls, there was zero lag. The QoS seems to handle traffic beautifully.
Now for the quirks: The wall mount situation is bizarre - why include mounting slots if they're partially blocked? And the SSID space character limitation feels like an odd oversight in 2023.
The smart connect feature works well, automatically shifting devices between bands. Though I did notice my older smart home devices sometimes struggle with the handoff.
At this price point, it's hard to complain too much. For most homes needing solid WiFi 6 coverage without enterprise-level features, this router delivers where it counts - speed and reliability.
