Let me start by saying the DJI Osmo Action 4 is an absolute beast when it comes to performance. The 4K/120fps footage is buttery smooth, and that large 1/1.3-inch sensor makes low-light shots look incredible. I took it surfing at dawn, and the colors in the sunrise footage were jaw-dropping - that D-Log M color performance is no joke.
The stabilization is where this camera really shines. I mounted it on my mountain bike during some rough trail riding, and the footage looked like it was shot with a gimbal. No shaky-cam nonsense here! The vertical shooting option is genius for social media content creators - switching orientations takes seconds.
Battery life impressed me too. On a full charge, I got about 2 hours of continuous 4K recording during a winter hike in -10°C weather. That cold-weather performance claim? Totally legit.
Now for the not-so-great parts: The bundle situation is hit or miss. Like some reviewers, I didn't receive all the promised accessories either. The chest mount came without the crucial camera adapter - super frustrating when you're excited to test new gear.
The camera itself has one annoying quirk - sometimes it's slow to wake from sleep mode when you're in a hurry to capture action. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable when you're used to instant-on cameras.
Despite these issues, I'd still recommend the Osmo Action 4 over comparable GoPros right now. The image quality and stabilization are simply better in real-world use. Just maybe buy the camera alone instead of this particular bundle unless they've fixed the missing parts issue.
