Let me start by saying this: Eternals is NOT your typical Marvel movie. If you're expecting the usual quippy one-liners and fast-paced action, you might be in for a surprise. But that doesn't mean it's bad - just different.
The 4K presentation is absolutely breathtaking. The celestial visuals and wide landscape shots (especially those golden hour desert scenes) pop off the screen. I found myself pausing just to admire the cinematography - something I rarely do with superhero films.
Where the movie struggles is pacing. There were moments during my viewing where I caught myself checking how much runtime was left. The philosophical themes about immortality and duty are interesting, but they do slow things down considerably compared to other MCU entries.
The character introductions feel rushed. With so many new heroes introduced at once, none really get proper development until late in the film. That said, Angelina Jolie's Thena and Kumail Nanjiani's Kingo provide standout performances that kept me engaged.
The bonus features are where this physical release shines. The behind-the-scenes look at how they created the Celestials and Deviants adds tremendous value for Marvel fans wanting deeper lore.
One warning - my copy arrived with some minor scratches on the discs (a common complaint I've seen). Amazon's packaging could definitely be better for these premium releases.
Final verdict? It's a beautiful but flawed addition to the MCU that rewards patient viewers. Not everyone will love it, but it's absolutely worth experiencing in 4K if you're open to something different from Marvel.
