Let me start by saying this printer is a game-changer for multi-color printing. The ability to print in up to 4 colors (soon 8!) opens up so many creative possibilities. I printed a Viper model with intricate color details that would've been impossible with my old single-color printers.
The setup was surprisingly easy - attach a few cables, run the auto-leveling and vibration tests (takes about 15 minutes), and you're ready to go. The touchscreen interface is one of the most intuitive I've used in 3D printing.
Print quality is generally excellent, especially with Anycubic's own PLA filament. The high-speed printing (up to 600mm/s) is impressive, though you'll spend more time on filament changes than actual printing during multi-color jobs.
The ACE Pro's sealed storage and drying function is a lifesaver in humid environments. Being able to monitor prints remotely via the app (especially with an added camera) gives great peace of mind.
Now for the quirks: The slicer software has a learning curve if you're coming from Cura or Creality slicers. Filament waste during color changes is significant - definitely print a 'poop diverter' and waste bin! TPU printing requires bypassing the ACE Pro entirely.
I did experience occasional clogs in the ACE box that required disassembly to clear (15-30 minute fix). The printer seems picky about filament quality - older or moist filament causes more issues than with other printers I've used.
Bottom line: If you want reliable single-color printing, there are better options. But for multi-color capability at this price point, despite its quirks, the Kobra 3 Combo delivers impressive results once you learn its personality.
