Let me start by saying this shifter assembly kit is a lifesaver if you're dealing with a worn-out OEM part on your Club Car DS gas golf cart. The installation was surprisingly straightforward, and the included nuts and screws made the process hassle-free. I appreciated not having to pull out the cam for adjustment - that's a nice touch!

However, here's where things get tricky. The yellow cam issue mentioned in other reviews is real. Like others, I found it didn't position correctly to lift the micro switch lever. After some frustrating attempts at adjustment, I ended up reusing my original yellow cam while keeping the rest of the new assembly. Not ideal when you expect a complete replacement solution.

The build quality otherwise seems solid - the shifter moves smoothly between forward and reverse positions, and the angle adjustment they've pre-set works perfectly in actual use. Just be prepared that you might need to do some part mixing if your micro switch isn't cooperating.

For the price point, it's still a decent value considering how expensive OEM parts can be. Just keep your original yellow cam handy during installation! This kit saved me from buying a whole new shifter assembly from Club Car, so despite its flaw, I'd cautiously recommend it to fellow golf cart owners who don't mind a bit of DIY problem-solving.
