Battery life is impressive - mine lasted 4 months before needing a recharge. The Type-C charging is super convenient compared to battery replacements. That said, the mechanism does make a noticeable 'whirring' sound when dispensing - not loud enough to be disruptive, but you'll definitely hear it.
