Let me start by saying I had high hopes for these HTONG feeder cones. At first glance, they seem like a steal – 4 white plastic feeding cones with suction cups for just a few bucks. Perfect for my community tank where I regularly feed bloodworms!
The installation was easy-peasy. The suction cups held firmly to my aquarium glass, and the cones stayed in place. But here's where things went south... When I tried using them with thawed frozen bloodworms (just like the product photo shows), the worms stubbornly stayed clumped at the bottom. My hungry tetras and guppies went nuts trying to get at them through those tiny holes – it was like watching fish torture! They could smell the food but couldn't actually eat it.
On the positive side, these do work decently as general food holders to keep flakes or pellets from floating into your filter. The plastic feels durable enough, and having four means you can position them around your tank. But if you're specifically buying these for bloodworms as advertised? Major disappointment.
Final verdict? These might be okay for dry foods or very small live foods, but they completely fail at their main advertised purpose. Save your money unless you just need basic food containment – and maybe consider writing to the manufacturer about those misleading product images!
