First impressions? This powder is STUNNING. The chameleon effect is no joke – it shifts from silvery-purple to deep ocean blue depending on the light, just like the photos show. When I swatched it over black gel polish, the holographic sparkle made my nails look like tiny galaxies.
The magnetic effects were hit or miss though. Using the included sponge stick (pro tip: work FAST before the top coat dries), I got some decent cat eye streaks. But unlike traditional magnetic polishes, the lines blurred within seconds unless I held the magnet uncomfortably close for a full minute. Several users reported this issue too – seems the powder needs an ultra-strong magnet.
Where this product shines (literally) is as a straight chrome topper. Over navy blue gel, it created an incredible duochrome velvet effect without any magnet needed. The 0.5g jar goes surprisingly far – I’ve done 3 full manicures and barely made a dent.
Biggest drawback? The silver base means it alters lighter polish colors dramatically (pink turned grayish). Works best over dark shades where that chameleon pop really comes alive. Also be prepared for glitter fallout everywhere – this stuff gets messy!
Final verdict: 4/5 for mesmerizing color shift, but temper expectations about magnetic effects unless you’re willing to experiment with different magnets/top coats.
