Let me start by saying, this 6-disc set is a dream come true for any Spider-Man fan. The moment I unboxed it, the nostalgia hit me like a train - but in the best way possible.
The 4K remaster is absolutely stunning. Watching Tobey Maguire's iconic upside-down kiss scene in crisp detail gave me goosebumps all over again. The colors pop, the shadows have depth, and you can practically see every thread in that famous red-and-blue suit.
What really impressed me was having both formats - UHD and regular Blu-ray. I tested them back-to-back on my LG OLED, and while both look great, the HDR on the 4K discs makes those spider-suits truly shine. Doctor Octopus' arms have never looked more menacing!
The packaging is sleek but be warned - mine arrived with a slightly cracked case (seems I'm not alone based on other reviews). Nothing some superglue couldn't fix, but disappointing for collectors.
Major bonus: The inclusion of Spider-Man 2's Director's Cut! That extra footage adds so much to an already perfect movie. Though fair warning to Spanish speakers - no Spanish audio or subtitles on the 4K discs.
Watching these with my nephew became our new weekend tradition. Seeing his eyes light up during the train sequence in Spider-Man 2 reminded me why I fell in love with these films years ago.
At this price point for three classic films in two formats? Absolute no-brainer for any Marvel fan's collection. Just maybe order from somewhere with better packaging protection!
