Let me start by saying this Sharp AQUOS is an absolute unit of a TV. That 75-inch screen dominates my living room like a gorgeous black monolith - in the best way possible.
The 4K resolution is stunningly crisp. I tested it with Planet Earth II and could literally count the scales on a lizard's back from my couch. The Direct LED backlighting gives surprisingly deep blacks for an LCD panel.
Setup was a breeze - the streamlined design means it's just one thin panel with minimal bezels. Wireless casting works perfectly from both my iPhone and Android tablet.
Now for the elephant in the room: ordering issues. Like other reviewers, I had my first order mysteriously canceled too. Had to reorder at full price (ouch). Sharp really needs to fix their fulfillment system.
At 380 nits brightness, it performs well in moderately lit rooms but struggles against direct sunlight. Perfect for basement home theaters, less ideal for sunrooms.
The commercial-grade panel means it can run for hours without overheating - great for binge-watching weekends. No noticeable lag when gaming either.
Bottom line? Gorgeous picture quality let down by shaky ordering experience. Buy from a reputable retailer instead of direct to avoid headaches.
