As a huge Demon Slayer fan, I was excited to build this Zenitsu sword Lego set. The 956-piece kit promises a detailed replica of the iconic katana, complete with a scabbard and stand. After spending hours assembling it, here's my honest take.
The Good: The final product looks fantastic! The yellow and silver color scheme perfectly matches Zenitsu's sword from the anime. At 39 inches, it's impressively sized for display or cosplay. I appreciated the sturdy ABS plastic pieces that snapped together securely (most of the time). The included stand is a nice touch for showing off your creation.
The Bad: Be warned - this build is repetitive. You'll be attaching what feels like hundreds of identical yellow plates. The instructions could be clearer about part colors (those sparkle symbols are easy to miss). Some pieces required excessive force to connect properly, which was frustrating.
Real Talk: This isn't Lego-brand quality. While most connections held fine, certain sections kept coming apart during assembly. My advice? Work on a clean surface and double-check each step. For the price though, it's a decent alternative to pricier official sets.
Who's It For? Patient anime fans who enjoy building projects. Probably not ideal for very young kids due to the complexity and occasional fitting issues. As a display piece though? Absolutely worth it for Demon Slayer collectors!
