After using the Seaworks Steel Dual Feed Motor Flusher for two boating seasons, I can confidently say it gets the job done – with a few caveats. The steel construction feels premium in hand, and the dual-flow design noticeably improves water pressure compared to single-feed models I've used before.
The setup is dead simple: slip the muffs over your lower unit intake, connect a standard garden hose, and you're flushing. I particularly appreciate the metal hose connection – it's a small detail that prevents the cheap plastic cracks I've experienced with competitors. That said, I did notice some water leakage around the rubber muffs during use, especially on my Mercruiser I/O.
Where this product shines is winterization. Running antifreeze through my engine was effortless, and the sturdy steel body gave me confidence during cold months. However, users should be aware that adequate water pressure is crucial – if your hose pressure is weak, these muffs might not seal tightly enough to prevent collapse.
The threading issue mentioned in some reviews is real – I had to really crank down on my hose connection to prevent leaks. While this hasn't caused problems yet, it's certainly not ideal. For routine maintenance flushes though? This flusher performs admirably at a fair price point.
