Let me start by saying I've tried countless reading glasses, and these photochromic multifocus ones caught my attention immediately. The promise of not having to switch between regular glasses and sunglasses sounded like a dream come true.
The first thing I noticed was how lightweight they are. Seriously, you forget you're wearing them after a while. The frameless design is sleek and modern - they look way more expensive than they actually are. I've gotten multiple compliments when wearing them out.
The photochromic feature works decently well. When I step outside, the lenses darken within 2-3 minutes (though not as dark as regular sunglasses). Coming back inside, they clear up in about 5 minutes. It's not instant, but it beats carrying two pairs of glasses everywhere.
Now for the progressive lenses - this is where things get interesting. The top part for distance vision works great when walking around. The middle section is perfect for computer work (and yes, the blue light protection does seem to reduce eye strain). The bottom portion makes reading menus or books crystal clear.
BUT - there's definitely a learning curve. The first few days were rough as my brain adjusted to the different focal zones in such small lenses. I had some minor headaches initially, and navigating stairs felt weird until I got used to looking through the correct part of the lens.
The build quality surprised me - these have survived being tossed in my bag, accidentally slept on (multiple times!), and general daily abuse. The included case is snug but does its job.
Major warning though: If you've never worn progressive lenses before, be prepared for an adjustment period. And make absolutely sure you order the correct strength - several reviewers mentioned blurriness issues from wrong prescriptions.
Overall? For the price, these are fantastic if you need multifocal vision correction and want photochromic convenience. Just give yourself time to adapt, and you might find them as indispensable as I have.
