Let me start by saying, the TP-Link EAP610 is an absolute beast when it comes to Wi-Fi performance. I installed this in my two-story home where dead zones used to plague my Netflix binges, and wow - what a difference!

The setup was surprisingly simple. I opted for PoE+ power through my existing switch (though the included DC adapter is a nice backup), and had it mounted on the ceiling in under 15 minutes. The ultra-slim design disappears against my white ceiling - much more discreet than traditional routers.

Where this access point really shines is speed and coverage. With Wi-Fi 6 technology, I'm getting consistent speeds around 800Mbps on my iPhone 13 when standing right below it, and still 300Mbps at the far corners of my backyard. A few quirks worth mentioning: The initial firmware update took longer than expected (about 10 minutes), and while the mesh functionality works great with other Omada devices, you do need their controller for this feature. Also, the LED status light is brighter than I'd prefer in a bedroom installation.
