Let me start by saying, these little guys are LOUD. Like, 'wake-the-neighbors' loud. The 125dB alarm is no joke—it's easily as loud as a car alarm and definitely enough to scare off any intruder (or startle you if you forget it's there!).
The adjustable sensitivity is a game-changer. I tested it from gentle taps to full-on window knocks, and it responded perfectly every time. No false alarms yet, even with my cat occasionally bumping into the window.
Installation couldn't be easier—just peel and stick. The adhesive is STRONG though (maybe too strong). When I tried to reposition one, I nearly took the window frame with it! They're slim enough to be discreet but noticeable enough to act as a visual deterrent.
Battery life has been great so far (going on 8 months without replacement), but I'm dreading the day I need to change them. The design makes battery replacement awkward—you'll probably need to remove the entire unit from the window.
For under $30 for four sensors, this is hands-down the most affordable home security upgrade you can make. They work exactly as advertised and give me peace of mind knowing my ground-floor windows are protected.
My only wish? That they were slightly smaller and maybe rechargeable. But for the price and performance, these are absolute winners in my book.
