Let me start by saying these USB drives are a STEAL for the price. I've been using them for months to distribute files at work, and they've held up surprisingly well. The swivel metal cap feels sturdy - no cracked plastic like cheaper models. That 360° rotation is satisfying and protects the USB port when not in use.
The FAT32 formatting works perfectly for my needs - transferring documents between office computers and loading audiobooks for my grandma's tablet (she can't figure out cloud storage). The colored casings make it easy to organize different projects - blue for client files, red for personal backups, etc.
Now the not-so-great part: speed. These are definitely USB 2.0 with slower transfer rates. Moving 7GB of vacation photos took about 25 minutes per drive. Not ideal if you're constantly moving large files, but fine for documents and MP3s.
Out of my batch of 20, two drives failed within the first month (wouldn't format properly). At this price point though, I expected some duds. The remaining 18 have been workhorses - perfect for giveaways at trade shows or as budget backup drives.
The LED activity light is a nice touch, and the keyring hole makes them hard to lose (unlike those tiny nano drives that vanish in your pocket). Just wish there was a label area - I ended up tying color-coded tags to each one.
Final verdict? Fantastic value if you need bulk storage solutions without breaking the bank. Just don't expect lightning speeds or enterprise-grade reliability.
