First off, the packaging is impressive – a hard case, soft cloth bag, and even a head strap. The glasses feel surprisingly lightweight and comfortable, which is great for long hours of wear. The matte dark obsidian color gives them a sleek, professional look that works for both men and women.
However, my excitement was short-lived. On the fourth wear, the left temple snapped clean off without any rough handling. The plastic frame just gave way, making them unusable. No option to return or fix them either – total bummer.
I also noticed some inconsistencies with the lenses. A friend in radiology pointed out an odd prescription-like effect, which shouldn’t be there for plano lenses. Others had similar issues, like cracked lenses right out of the box.
On the plus side, when they worked, the SF-6 Schott glass lenses did their job well – decent radiation reduction without feeling too heavy. But given the durability and quality control issues, I’d hesitate to recommend these unless you’re okay rolling the dice.
