Let me start by saying this TV is a beast. The 85-inch screen dominates my living room, but it's the QD-Mini LED technology that truly steals the show. Those 5,000 dimming zones create blacks so deep they make my old LCD TV look gray in comparison.
Watching The Batman on this was revelatory - when he's skulking in shadows, you can actually see texture in what should be pure black. Then BAM - a car headlight hits and it's so bright I instinctively squinted. This dynamic range is insane for the price.
The soundbar integration is genius. One HDMI cable gives me proper Dolby Atmos height effects - when helicopters fly overhead in Top Gun: Maverick, I swear I felt the air move. At 620W total power, my neighbors probably think I installed a theater.
Google TV runs buttery smooth compared to my old Roku setup. No more waiting for apps to load while my popcorn gets cold. The AI upscaling makes even my old DVDs watchable, though 4K HDR content is where this panel really flexes.
My only gripe? The stand is comically small for an 85" screen - wall mounting is basically mandatory unless you have a credenza the size of a twin bed.
After two months of daily use (and several movie marathons), I can confidently say this delivers performance that rivals TVs costing twice as much. Unless you're an OLED purist willing to risk burn-in, this TCL might be the last TV you buy for years.
