Let me start by saying the Soyizpo I16 ProMax is a beast of a phone on paper. That 6.99-inch HD screen is absolutely stunning for binge-watching shows - colors pop like I'm holding a mini OLED TV. The magnesium aluminum body feels premium, though it's slightly heavy at 210g.
The 108MP+68MP camera setup genuinely surprised me. During my weekend hiking trip, zoom shots retained incredible detail (though low-light performance could be better). That said, the fingerprint-button-as-shutter feature is genius for quick snaps.
Where this phone truly shines? Battery life. The 7000mAh battery lasted me 2 full days of heavy use - streaming, gaming, you name it. Android 13 runs buttery smooth thanks to the Snapdragon8 Gen3 processor... when it works.
Now the not-so-good:
- My unit developed text messaging issues after 6 weeks (similar to some reviews)
- Verizon incompatibility is real (learned this the hard way during testing)
- The "iPhone-like" marketing is misleading - this is clearly Android
- Return policy hassles seem consistent across multiple buyers
The dual SIM functionality worked flawlessly during my international trip to Japan, but buyer beware - some carriers (especially in South America) seem to have activation issues.
Final verdict:
- A great secondary phone for media consumption/travel
- Questionable long-term reliability based on multiple reports
- Caveat emptor with carrier compatibility and return policies
- The included accessories (pen/screen protector) are nice bonuses
