Okay, so I bought this gravel thinking it was just for aquariums... but turns out it's a multitasking superstar!
First off, the color is GORGEOUS. That deep grey with hints of blue? It makes everything around it pop. I originally got it for my bird fountain (yes, you read that right) because my pump kept tipping over. Regular gravel was too light, and fish tank rocks looked tacky. This stuff? Perfect weight, perfect aesthetic.
The natural variation is chef's kiss - some stones have white and brown tones mixed in which gives such an organic look. And can we talk about the size range? The 1/4" to 1/2" pieces are ideal - not too big to be clunky, not too small to disappear.
Warning though: WASH THIS THOROUGHLY. Like seriously, rinse until your arms get tired, then rinse some more. The dust is no joke (but totally normal for natural stone). Pro tip: decorate your setup before adding water to avoid cloudy disasters.
Bonus discovery: It looks amazing in potted plants too! Who knew aquarium gravel could be so versatile? From bird fountains to succulents - this gravel's got range.
