Okay, so I got this SCRIB3D Junior pen for my niece's birthday after seeing all the hype. Here's the real tea ☕
First off, the GOOD: The pen itself is super cute and lightweight. My niece (age 8) could hold it comfortably for hours. The low-heat nozzle is legit - I touched it by accident and didn't get burned (parent win!). The included activity guide saved my life when she kept asking "what should I make next?"
The MEH: Battery life could be better. We got about 45 mins of continuous use before needing a recharge. The filament that comes with it is decent quality but... here comes the BIG issue...
The BAD: Finding replacement filament is like searching for unicorn tears 🦄💧 The proprietary size (2.5mm PCL) is nearly impossible to find locally, and online options are limited. Such a bummer because my niece LOVES this thing!
Final verdict? Great starter pen for kids, but be prepared to hunt down filament or potentially have a very sad child when they run out. Maybe buy two sets if you see it on sale?
