Okay, so I finally got these carving forks after seeing them recommended everywhere. First impression? They're SHARP - like 'might accidentally stab through the cutting board' sharp. But in a good way!
The weight is perfect - heavy enough to feel sturdy but not tiring to use. The curved prongs seriously grip meat like nothing I've used before. No more chasing slippery chicken around the grill!
Used them last weekend for brisket and they were game changers. The heat-resistant handles stayed cool while the stainless steel didn't bend even when wrestling with that 12lb hunk of meat.
Only complaint? The handle could be maybe 2 inches longer for my giant stock pot. But that's being picky - for $20 this set outperforms forks twice the price.
Bonus: They make great veggie lifters too! Just don't let kids near them (seriously, these things are weapons-grade sharp).
