So, I recently got my hands on the Psync Genie S security camera, and here's my honest take after using it for a couple weeks.
The Good: Setup was a breeze! Even my tech-challenged self (yes, I still struggle with Bluetooth) managed to get it running in minutes. The 350° pan and 135° tilt give crazy coverage—I can literally see my entire living room plus part of the kitchen. The two-way audio is crystal clear; I've used it to scold my cat when he tries to climb the curtains (he ignores me, but that's not the camera's fault).
The Okay: Picture quality is decent in daylight—not mind-blowing but gets the job done. The 6X zoom is handy when I want to check if my plants need watering while I'm away. Local storage is great for privacy, though I wish they offered cloud options too.
The Bad: Oh boy, the night vision... or lack thereof. You NEED lights on to see anything at night, which defeats half the purpose of a security cam? Also had some false motion alerts when sunlight patterns changed—my phone kept blowing up with notifications about 'suspicious activity' that was just shadows moving.
Would I recommend? Maybe—if you specifically need daytime monitoring and love tinkering with angles. But if night vision is important, keep looking.
