Okay, so I finally got my hands on the Astro 15Pc 1/2" Drive Nano Impact Sockets, and wow—these things are tiny but mighty! At just 1.10" long, they’re way shorter than regular shallow sockets, and they’ve saved me so much frustration in cramped engine bays.
The outside hex feature is genius. Sometimes you just need to throw a wrench on there, and boom—problem solved. Plus, the CR-MO forging feels solid. No cheap stuff here.
No skipped sizes from 10mm to 24mm? Thank you, Astro! Nothing worse than reaching for a socket and realizing it’s missing from the set. These have become my default for anything tight—serpentine belts, suspension work, you name it.
Only gripe? If the bolt sticks out past the nut too far, these won’t work. But hey, they’re not deep wells—just read the specs before complaining like some reviewers did.
Pair these with a stubby impact gun or ratchet wrench (under 1.25" total height!), and you’ve got magic. Storage rail is slick too—actual aluminum with detents, not flimsy stamped metal.
Worth every penny if you wrench often. Already eyeing their Torx set next…
