Okay, so I never thought I'd be writing a piano book review at 32, but here we are! This book is seriously the perfect match for adult beginners who want to play actual recognizable songs.
The video tutorials are GENIUS - seeing the notes light up while hearing the music makes everything click in my brain way faster than staring at boring sheet music. And can we talk about the song selection? Für Elise and Ode to Joy in my first month? Yes please!
What really shocked me was how much the note names printed on Level 1 helped. I always thought 'real' pianists would judge me for needing that, but who cares? It works! Though fair warning - even Level 1 isn't super easy if you're brand new.
The only bummer? The ebook version's font is tiny. But honestly, watching those tutorial videos on my phone while sitting at my keyboard has become my new favorite evening ritual. Who knew adulting could include fulfilling childhood piano dreams?
