Let me tell you, this little remote has been a lifesaver for my temperamental Midea AC unit. When my original remote went missing (probably eaten by the couch), I was dreading another sweaty summer of manually adjusting the temperature.

The setup was ridiculously simple - just pop in a battery and it worked immediately with my unit. The green backlight is surprisingly bright and makes nighttime adjustments easy without turning on lights.

I will say the edges are a bit sharper than I'd like - it's not the most comfortable remote to hold for long periods. And while it claims Fahrenheit/Celsius conversion capability, good luck finding instructions for how to actually do that (I'm still stuck with Celsius displays).

For everyday use though? Flawless performance. All the essential functions work perfectly, and at less than half what an 'official' replacement would cost. It's become my go-to recommendation for friends who lose their AC remotes.
