I recently installed the Smart Wall Outlet with dual individually controlled ports, and it's been a mix of convenience and minor frustrations. The setup was straightforward—just like replacing a regular outlet—and the Smartlife app integration was seamless. Being able to control my coffee maker and cabinet lights separately via voice commands (thanks to Alexa compatibility) feels futuristic.
However, I quickly noticed the physical switch controls both outlets simultaneously, which isn’t ideal. If I turn off the lights manually, my coffee maker shuts off too—annoying when you’re half-awake at 6 AM. The app’s interface could also be clearer; it sometimes mislabels which device is actually powered on.
Wi-Fi reliability has been solid in my small apartment, but one reviewer mentioned weak signals in larger homes. And while I haven’t experienced failures like some users, the occasional app lag makes me wonder about long-term durability.
For the price, it’s a decent entry into smart outlets—just don’t expect perfection. If you’re tech-savvy and can overlook small design flaws, it’s worth a try. But if reliability is critical, you might want to explore higher-end brands.
