Just installed the WAC Smart Fan in my living room and wow – when it works, it's AMAZING. The DC motor is whisper quiet (seriously, I have to check if it's on sometimes) and the app control with Alexa integration feels like living in the future. The adaptive breeze mode? Chef's kiss.
BUT...the connectivity issues are REAL. Spent 45 minutes trying to get it paired with my phone because the QR code was a dud. Had to dig through forums to find the default WiFi password is 'intelligence' (how ironic). Once connected though? Smooth sailing...mostly.
The remote feels like an afterthought - cheap plastic that doesn't match the fan's premium look. Also noticed if I turn it off via app, sometimes takes forever to respond when trying to restart. Like it's taking a coffee break between commands.
Installation was...an experience. Those factory-balanced blades they advertise? Absolutely true - zero wobble. But threading those wires through the downrod while balancing on a ladder? That's an advanced yoga pose right there.
Final verdict: When this fan behaves, it's easily the best smart fan I've used. But that $10 'smart feature' fee feels like ransom money for functionality that should just work consistently out of the box.
