Okay, so I finally got around to testing this antifreeze hand pump kit for my RV, and here's the real tea.
First off, the build quality is surprisingly decent. The plastic feels sturdy, and the PVC hoses are flexible but don't kink easily. No leaks so far after two uses - which is more than I can say for some pricier pumps I've tried.
The pumping action works smoothly once you get it going. Pro tip: you'll need to prime it first if you're starting dry. Takes a few pumps to get the flow started, but then it moves liquid like a champ.
Now about those fittings... major facepalm moment. The included adapters didn't fit my standard RV connections at all. Had to make an emergency trip to Home Depot - not cool when you're trying to winterize before a snowstorm hits.
Used it for both antifreeze transfer and draining my black tank flush line. Worked perfectly for both jobs once I got the right fittings sorted out. The clamps do their job well - no messy leaks or hose pop-offs mid-pump.
Would I buy again? Probably, but only if they start including proper North American standard adapters in the kit. Until then, factor in an extra $10-15 for fittings unless you've got a well-stocked toolbox.
