Just installed the WORX WA0866 GPS tracker for my Landroid mower, and wow… what a letdown. Here’s the unfiltered truth:
1. Theft Protection? More Like ‘Last Seen’ Protection
If your mower gets stolen, this thing will proudly show you… where it was LAST stuck. Not where it is now. Once power cycles (like when stolen), it requires a full re-setup to reconnect. Useless in real theft scenarios.
2. Offline When Charging = Free Stealing Hours
The tracker goes offline during charging—prime time for thieves to walk off with your mower. No alerts, no tracking, just blind trust in humanity.
3. Customer Service Ghosting
Contacted WORX via Amazon and their website about these issues. Crickets. Absolute radio silence. At this price point? Unacceptable.
4. Hidden Subscription Trap
That ‘1-year free service’ fine print means mandatory payments afterward. Feels like a scam when basic functionality fails daily.
Verdict: Save your money or invest in actual security measures (like a locked shed). This gadget fails at its ONE job.
